The next addition to our team is Kadir Konse Gire, our Legal Assistant, working remotely from Ethiopia—the very same village in Yabelo that Tukay and I left in 1998 and returned to in 2018.

Kadir, born in 2000 in that same home, grew up in Ethiopia, learning the cultures, traditions, and ways of life that I sometimes struggle to fully grasp after growing up in the U.S. Along with his English proficiency, he speaks both Afaan  Oromo and Amharic, making him invaluable in assisting with translations and helping me better understand the cultural perspectives of the communities we serve.

His insights help bridge the gap between my American experience and the lived realities of our people, ensuring that Amba Law provides services that are both legally sound and culturally informed.
